TEK:CV is a technical apparel brand with a storefront built around its clothing and fabric technologies. We chose a premium Shopify theme to save implementation time, then prepared the store behind it. My role covered backend setup and Shopify admin configuration, including the custom data needed for the project.

Starting with a premium theme

A premium theme gave us an established storefront foundation and saved time on the initial build. It was a practical choice: start with the presentation and components already available, then focus on preparing the store for TEK:CV.

That still left the work behind the interface. The Shopify admin setup and custom-data structure needed to be ready to support the website. This was where my contribution sat within the wider project.

Behind the storefront

For the backend preparation, we used my Schema lifecycle platform to sync the necessary metaobjects and metafields. It brought an existing engineering tool into a concrete store setup, giving us a repeatable way to prepare the custom data.

The platform manages schema export, import, and comparison, including the relationships between metafield definitions and metaobject types. Those connections matter: a collection of fields is only useful when the definitions and references fit together.

Together, the premium theme and schema tooling addressed two different parts of the work: a faster starting point for the storefront, and a repeatable process for the data behind it. My focus remained on backend preparation and admin configuration.
